The Maker’s house chapel international has taken the initiative to support the less privileged and the vulnerable in the lockdown period by providing them with food and other sanitary items such as rice, oil, tomato paste, tubers of yam, hand gloves, sanitizers, among others.
The donation forms part of the church’s cooperate social responsibility in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. In an interview with Nana Poku Agyemang, the leader of the distribution team, he mentioned that the donation is to support the less privileged in society who are currently under partial lock down to conform to the president’ directives.
Nana Poku Agyemang, further urged all individuals and civil societies to assist in the fight against the covid19. The donation he said will continue during the period of the 14 days partial lock down.
Ghana joins South Africa, Kenya, Rwanda, Mali, among others, in Africa to have announced some restrictions of movement to curb the spread of the virus which has killed over 30,000 people across the globe.
During the two-week partial lockdown, citizens in affected areas are advised to stay at home; except their assessing food, medication or any other essential services.
