As part of efforts to strengthen emergency response and improve the efficiency of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), the Minister for the Interior embarked on a working visit to the Service. The visit aimed to assess ongoing operations, discuss challenges faced by firefighters, and explore ways to enhance service delivery through government support and strategic initiatives.
The Minister Hon Muntanka Mohamed Mubarak and also the Member of Parliament for Asawase in his address, stressed the importance of leveraging technology to ease the workload of firefighters and reiterated the government’s commitment to providing the necessary resources, infrastructure, and policies to improve their working conditions.

During the visit, the Chief Fire Officer Julious Kuunuor Aalebkure who ealiar in the ministers arrival tour with the sector minister to various department of the service expressed his profound gratitude to the Minister for his support and commitment to the Service. He pledged to work closely with the Ministry to achieve their shared goals and improve emergency response across the country.
The Chief Fire Officer also took the opportunity to outline the mission and vision of the GNFS, emphasizing their dedication to protecting lives and property and also highlighted that additional personnel are always deployed when responding to emergencies to ensure effective service delivery.

The visit reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening the Ghana National Fire Service and ensuring the safety and well-being of its personnel.
In a related development, the Minister was taken through the operation of fire extinguisher and a portrait of him was presented as a bond of mutual cooperation.
