The Minister for Roads and Highways & the MP for Atiwa West, Hon Kwasi Amoako Attah ended his three days tours through the Eastern region to get first hand information on the performance of road contractors in the region.

Backed by the Eastern Regional Minister & MP for Nkawkaw, Hon Eric Kwakye Darfour, the officials from the Ministries of Highways, Urban Roads and Feeder Roads, Hon Kwasi Amoako Attah touched Roads including the Osiem – Begoro, Suhum – Asamankese, Asamankese – Akroso, Akroso – Akyem Oda, Akyem Oda – Achease, Akyem Oda – Ofoase Ayirebi, Kade – Wenchi, Kade – Asuom – Akyem Akropong – Abomosu – Kwabeng etc.

The Minister continued with inspection of Koforidua town roads through to Tinkong – Amanfrom and ended with the works on the roads in Okere and Akropong districts.

Hon Kwasi Amoako Attah has generally very happy with the work of the contractors and commended them.

He said road contract is not Child game and so, people who are not really serious should not venture into it

The only area where Hon Kwasi Amoako Attah was disappointed was on the Kade – Wenchi which had been awarded since 2008 to Nkwantabisa.

Hon Kwasi Amoako Attah did not hesitate but ordered the cancellation of the contract to be rewarded soon.
