Motorway Repair Work Soon-Roads Minister

The Government of Ghana is set to embark on a major rehabilitation exercise from the Accra Tema motorway stretch, Tetteh Quarshie roundabout, Apenkwa and Dzorwulu junction which is scheduled to begin in August 2022.

According to the Minister of Roads and Highways, Kwesi Amoako-Attah, the project which has been named the Accra Tema motorway project, will construct three separate Interchanges on the 19.5km Accra-Tema motorway to Tetteh Quarshie roundabout stretch.

Explaining to the media during a working visit to the Accra Tema motorway, the minister further hinted that, government as part of the project construct
Interchanges at Achimota Neoplan traffic light and the Dzorwulu traffic light(fiesta Royal Hotel) whiles the Apenkwa bridge is also remodeled.

Hon Amoako-Attah stated that this will be a major project undertaken by any president after Kwame Nkrumah, and believed that this will be a major step to ease traffic within Accra.

He stated the project which is in four phases is to complete by 2024, and its source of funding will be through the Public-Private Partnership.
