Madina based media firm, Kencity Media LTD, over the weekend, celebrated winning two awards at the just ended NCA Media awards for 2019, held at the Exim Bank premises in Accra. The awards were the Television program of the year and Radio program of the year which went to NET2 TV and OMAN FM, respectively.
The NCA Awards 2019 was organised by RadComm for the National Communication Authority to reward deserving media houses and personalities for their contribution to the broadcasting family in Ghana over the past year.
The Dialogue’, a morning show hosted by Abedi Anim, won the Television program of the year, after less than two years since its inception, while National Agenda, which is hosted daily by Yaw Amofa, picked up the Radio Program of the year.
The Host of the Dialogue, Abedi Anim and the producer of the show, Randy Safo, expressed their sentiments on winning the award. They looked forward for more laurels in the coming years.
The host of National Agenda, Yaw Amofa said after a decade without legal issues, it was deserving of the show and the team behind it, to win the award.
A friend of KENCITY MEDIA and a media commentator, Ernest Yaw Kumi commended the media house for scooping the 2 awards while eulogizing the work and contributions of Kencity Media over the years.
Hon Kennedy Agyapong, the Group Chairman of Kencity Media LTD, was also recognised for contributions to Ghana and Africa,with a media legacy honour, which according to the citation was in recognition for his passion for media and solid leadership over the years.
Going beyond the limits to shape the nation, both NET2 TV and Oman FM are subsidiaries of Kencity Media ltd, which began operations in 2007.
