New funeral date set for Ghana music icon Dada K.D

The family of the late Dada Kwaku Duah renowed in the entertainment circus as Dada K.D has slated september 6, 2025 as the new date for the funeral rites of the musician at the forecourt of the state house in Accra.

According to the family, the burial and final thanksgiving service will follow on Sunday, September 7, at Agona Asamang in the Ashanti Region, the late musician’s hometown.

Fellow artistes, popular personalities in the industry, key dignitaries are expected to be present at the funeral to pay their last respect to the artiste whose exceptional lyrical prowess have greatly enriched Ghanaian music.

The rescheduling is likely a mark of respect for the national mourning period declared following the tragic military helicopter clash in Adansi Akrofoum district in the Ashanti region that claimed 8 lives.

Dada K.D. passed away on May 17, 2025, after a brief illness, leaving behind a rich musical legacy.
