The New Juaben South Women’s Wing of the New Patriotic Party have held their annual conference at Koforidua in the Eastern Region with the aim of mobilizing the party’s grassroots supporters, particularly women, to support the Breaking the Eight agenda.
The conference was under the theme “Women’s Involvement: a Tool to Help Break the Eight” .
The conference was designed to educate women on electioneering, energize and mobilize the women in the party, and generate excitement and enthusiasm among them to actively participate in the 2024 elections.
The conference saw in attendance women organisers and their deputies from polling stations and constituencies in New Juaben and various women clubs, including Nasara ladies, Bawumia ladies, and Loyal Ladies, among others
Present were the NPP National Women’s Organiser, Kate Gyamfua, Michael Okyere Baafi, MP for New Juaben South, Dr. Antoinette Tsiboe-Darko, National Deputy General Secretary, Mercy Amoh Darko, NPP Eastern Regional Women Organizer, Isaac Appaw-Gyasi, New Juaben South MCE, and Charles Osei-Poku Boakye, NPP Chairman, New Juaben South, among others.
Addressing the conference, Madam Kate Gyamfua highlighted the party’s achievements and emphasized the need for support to retain power.
She noted that, the NPP has outperformed the NDC, adding that retaining power is crucial to build upon the party’s development initiatives.
Madam Kate Gyamfua, made an appeal to the women’s wing to put aside their differences and unite for a common goal: to rally support behind the flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and the MP, Michael Okyere Baafi, to achieve a resounding victory in the upcoming polls.
Michael Okyere Baafi, the MP for New Juaben South, emphasized in his address the significance of unity in achieving political success and underscored the party’s determination to work together to break the eight and achieve victory in the general elections.
Michael Okyere Baafi, reiterated his commitment to creating a cohesive and strong party machinery capable of securing victory in the elections.
In an interview with NET2TV, Charles Osei-Poku Boakye, the NPP Chairman, New Juaben South, acknowledged the importance of victory in the 2024 election and rallied the women’s wing and supporters to work together to achieve this goal.
Mercy Amoh Darko, the NPP Eastern Regional Women Organizer, explained that the constituency leadership recognized the importance of women’s participation in politics, hence the conference.
Madam Regina Bempong, New Juaben South constituency women Organizer, underscored the value of women’s contributions to the party’s success and encouraged their active participation in the election campaign.
