NHIS-WORKING WITH STAKEHOLDERS: NHIA DEP. CEO PAYS WORKING VISIT TO SPECIALIST HEALTH FACILITY AT MADINA

The Deputy Chief Executive of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) in charge of Operations, Louisa Atta-Agyemang (Mrs.), has paid a working visit to the F. Alpha and Omega Specialist Hospital at Madina, in the Greater Region.
Her visit formed part of efforts to strengthen the NHIA’s bond with credentialed healthcare providers and to ensure that the active members of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) are well catered for at the point of need.
During the visit, the NHIA Deputy Chief Executive for Operations interacted with some National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) members on admission in various wards.

The patients expressed satisfaction with the National Health Insurance Scheme Benefit Package.
Mrs. Louisa Atta-Agyemang commended the hospital’s management for their exemplary services, highlighting credentialed healthcare providers’ roles in enhancing the importance of the NHIS.

Chief Executive Officer of the F. Alpha and Omega Specialist Hospital at Madina, Mr. Francis Fosu, disclosed that the hospital’s management has targeted twenty thousand registrants onto the NHIS for free.
According to him, seven thousand people have so far been registered as at the time of the delegation’s visit to the facility.
