NORTHERN REGION WELCOMES DR BAWUMIA: I HAVE ASSISTED TO BRING MORE DEVELOPMENT TO THE NORTH THAN JOHN MAHAMA – DR. BAWUMIA

The flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has made a compelling case as to why the people in the northern region should give him the nod to be President of the Republic of Ghana over his main competitor, John Dramani Mahama.
Vice President Dr. Bawumia, who is in the North East Region on the second day of his nationwide constituency-focused campaign, interacted with traditional leaders, opinion leaders, and market women at Chereponi, Saboba, and Mion constituencies on Thursday.
At a courtesy call on the paramount chief of Chereponi in the North East region, Dr. Bawumia underscored that although he has not been president before, unlike Mr. John Mahama, he has assisted in bringing more development to the northern part of the country.
He cited areas in roads, healthcare delivery, education, energy, and many others that have all been executed under the current government’s tenure and are visible to sceptics.
Vice President Bawumia pledged his continued commitment to the development of the people in the North, adding that he would do his best to deliver on the requests made to him.
According to him, the development of the north and the country as a whole remains his topmost priority, and with the support of all Ghanaians, he is poised to deliver accelerated, holistic, transformational leadership.

Thousands of residents of Chereponi later defied the rains to offer a mammoth reception for the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party as he arrived at a durbar ground to engage and interact with the communities.
The NPP Flagbearer, upon his arrival, was ambushed by thousands of residents in the rain when he walked through as the excitement of the crowd grew, with more people, young and old, on foot, motorcycles, and tricycles emerging from all corners, chanting his name in support.

Dr. Bawumia then proceeded to Mion, where he was also given a royal welcome at Mion-Gbonlana’s durbar grounds.
The Mion-Gbonlana, the Regent of Mion, expressed his and his people’s strong desire for a victory for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the upcoming election.
In a speech read on his behalf, the Mion-Gbonlana highlighted Dr. Bawumia’s contributions to peace in Dagbon and numerous projects initiated in the Mion traditional enclave.
The Mion Regent stressed that Dr. Bawumia’s exceptional qualities and effective leadership are unparalleled by any vice president in the history of Ghana’s democratic governance.
