It was a moment full of emotions as Ghana’s Consul General to the New York City, Mr. Kingsley Atta Boafo visited the New York Chapter of the New Patriotic Party for the last time before returning to Ghana after his duty tour.
From the party’s leadership to the guests at the meeting, individuals took turns to eulogize the statesman parexcellence for his selfless service to the Ghanaian community in the New York City area and beyond.
During his stay in the United States, Mr. Atta Boafo was an omnipresent diplomatic figure in most Ghanaian community activities, including faith-based, traditional, and social organizations. Whenever he was called upon to address such organizations, he took his time to explain government policies to the understanding of the ordinary Ghanaian abroad.
The hardworking Consul General assisted Ghanaians in the U.S. when it comes to the acquisition of Ghanaian passports, visas, and recently, the Ghana Card, after being extended to those in the diaspora.
This was why people at the meeting with the NPP New York Chapter seized the opportunity to recount all the good deeds of the outgoing Consul General.
On behalf of the NPP New York chapter and the whole of the U.S.A., Mr. Frank Antwi, the chapter chairman, thanked the Consul General for his selfless service to the Ghanaian community as well as the party.
