PRESIDENT’S THANK YOU TOUR: REJECT THE ONLY ONE-TERM PRESIDENT IN THE 4TH REPUBLIC—PRESIDENT URGES ORGANISED LABOUR

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has urged organised labour to reject former president John Mahama at the polls due to his failed tenure when he was in power and his lack of clear policies to lead Ghana into the fourth industrial revolution.
He urged them to disregard the campaign promises hawked by former President Mahama, reminding them that the NDC flagbearer is the only one-term president under the 4th republic, due to his poor performance.
President Akufo-Addo made these assertions at an engagement with the leadership of organised labour as he winds up his nationwide Thank You tour.

The president expressed his gratitude to the labour unions for having him twice elected as president. He noted that despite the challenges in the period, peace and stability have been present during the past 8 years. He noted the significant industrial peace on the labour front, which is due to the partnership between his government and them.

The President trumpeted the universality of his administration’s programs and initiatives, which are devoid of discrimination and accessible to all Ghanaians, namely the Free SHS policy, the NHIS, One District One Factory, and Agenda III.

President Akufo-Addo used the opportunity to appeal to them to give their consideration to Dr. Bawumia and the NPP in the elections, to lead Ghana towards an even better future.

Greater Accra Regional Minister Nii Kwartei Titus Glover expressed appreciation for the support from the labour front during the almost-ended tenure of the president and his government.
He said the president has also done much during his tenure for organised labour and enumerated developments in the region, which are part of his government’s long list of achievements.

Joseph Cudjoe, Minister for Public Enterprises, said amidst all the challenges, every aspect of the economy has been efficiently managed, especially.
He wondered why there are always Ponzi schemes when the NDC is in power and rallied the labour front to support the incumbent administration to continue the good works.
