Yesterday marked a significant milestone as the Public University Junior Staff Association (PUJUSA) of Ghana was inaugurated at the prestigious University of Ghana Great Hall.
The ceremony, attended by distinguished guests, including Hon. Lydia Seyram Alhassan, witnessed the establishment of an association dedicated to championing the welfare of junior staff members within the university.
In his keynote address, Hon. Lydia Seyram Alhassan emphasized the importance of prioritizing the interests of PUJUSA members over external pressures.
He urged the association to focus on addressing issues directly affecting its constituents rather than solely acting as a pressure group targeting the university and government.
“I believe PUJUSA should be a beacon of support and advocacy for its members, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met,” Hon. Lydia Seyram Alhassan declared, reaffirming his commitment to the association’s cause.
As a gesture of solidarity and support, Hon. Lydia Seyram Alhassan generously donated a brand-new motorbike to PUJUSA.
The donation aims to facilitate the efficient discharge of duties by the association’s executives, enabling them to effectively serve the membership.
The inauguration ceremony concluded on a note of optimism, with attendees expressing gratitude for Hon. Lydia Seyram Alhassan’s contributions and pledging to work diligently towards advancing the interests of junior staff members at the University of Ghana.
