Omanfm1071.com can report Sprite Ball Xpressions has been launched at the De’lish Restaurant in Okponglo, Legon; the event was launched at a press conference held yesterday.
Sprite Ball Xpressions is a Basketball and Music event that is set to commence later in December with the national event to be staged on December 24 at the Aviation Social Center.
The addition of music represents the evolution of the Sprite Ball Championship.
Sports-organizers of the event, Ghana Basketball Association (GBBA) Administration Vice President Alex Kukula, Cedar Oak Basketball Academy Coach Ato Sam, Radio and TV Presenter Louis Kwame “Lexis Bill” Sakyiamah and Coca-Cola Company Ghana Market Execution Manager Elijah Afutu Nartey were present at the ceremony.
In the Basketball event, young players compete for four community teams and the best players form a team to represent a region at the national event in Ghana’s capital, Accra.

Six teams will represent six regions at the national event; the Western, Greater Accra, Ashanti, Eastern, Central and Volta regions are in contention for the title and is open to just male basketball players. Regional qualifiers commence on Friday, December 3.

In the Virtual Music event, High School Students upload a 45-second video to Twitter and Instagram showing off their singing and rapping skills with the hashtag #SpriteBall21.
Select Judges pick the best contestants for the second round where qualified contestants upload a 60-second video for fans to vote.
Two contestants with the highest votes from each region get to compete at the national event next month.
