Stellar Performance from Ghana: Two Golds, One Silver, Two Bronzes at U-19 World Badminton Championships

The JE Wilson Ghana Junior International 2025 Badminton Championships ended on a high note at the Borteyman Sports Complex, with Ghana and Nigeria dominating the U-19 finals.

Ghana shone in the women’s and mixed doubles. Moslena Ama Koramah Adu and Rachael Quarcoo secured gold in the women’s doubles, while Moslena teamed up with her twin brother, Obapomba Adu Mintah, to win the mixed doubles in an all-Ghanaian final.

Nigeria claimed both men’s titles, with Saidu Aliyu winning the singles and then partnering with Aderinola Samuel to take the doubles gold.

Officials praised the talent on display, with the Ghana Olympic Committee and Badminton Federation highlighting the sport’s rapid development. Senior-level matches in the Ghana Grand Slam continue until 17 August.
