Coach Kim Lars Björkegren has succeeded in qualifying the black queens of Ghana to the semi final of the WAFCON being held in morrocco following a hard fought victory over Algeria in the quarter finals.

A pulsating 120 minutes of football action saw both teams unable to break the deadlock. The match was decided on penalties with the Black queens winning a thrilling 4-2 shoot outs eliminating the Desert foxes of Algeria. Heroic display from goal keeper Cynthia Konlan helped the queens triumphed to the semis. Midfielder Grace Asantewaa also played a pivotal role to ensure the queens had a good day at the office. Her eye catching perfomances led to her been crowned the woman of the match.

Ghana has now reached the seventh semi final in the history of the WAFCON and will face host nation Morocco in the grandeur stadium in Rabat , the capital on Tuesday ,July 22nd at 8pm local time. Morocco put three past Mali in the quarter final encounter to also book a semi final ticket. With consistently electrifying performances in every game ,the entire nation is highly optimistic Atlas Lionesses will lift their first ever continental trophy in this tournament. Both countries have met thrice in all competitions with Morocco having won the most (2)and Ghana (1).

Will Morocco exercise their dominance over Ghana with a win tomorrow or Ghana will pull a shocker as the underdogs?
