Yesterday, 20th July,2020, Hon Evelyn Ama Kumi-Richardson, the Bono Regional Minister together with the rest of Regional Security Council and Hon Kwaku Asomah- Cheremeh, the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources and member of the National Security Council visited the good people of Banda Ahenkro, Banda Kabrono and Banda Sabieye following the bad incidence that happened at Kabrono leading to the death of Master Woli Kyemeh, a 28yr trained teacher on the 13th day of July, 2020.
The Minister paid courtesy call on the Chiefs and Nananom of Banda Ahenkro and Krabo where she called on Nananom to do their maximum best in restoring peace and tranquillity in the Banda District because every human being matters for the development of our country Ghana.
The Hon Minister also visited the Bereaved family of Master Woli Kyemeh to mourn with them and also visited all the four people who got injured at banda Ahenkro. The Minister proceeded to Banda Sabie and visited the eight people at Sabieye who were brutally battered during the clash.
Hon Evenlyn Ama Kumi-Richardson, at each occasion advised all the people at Banda Constituency to remain calm as the Regional Security Council (RESEC) is highly collaborating with the District Security Council ( DISEC) in other to apprehend the perpetrators.
The Minister expressed her dissatisfaction to the people because no arrest has been made so far and explained that it is only justice that can bring about peace in the Banda District and condemned the incident and described it as shameful, barbaric and ungodly.
The Minister also informed Nananom, the bereaved family of the late Woli Kyemeh and the injured people to volunteer every information to the Security Council to assist in investigation.
The Minister finally assured all the citizens and people living in Banda District that there will be absolute peace, protection and security because RESEC has deployed a lot of Security personnel to the Banda District for both during and after the Registration Exercise by the Electoral Commission.
