VEEP IN AWUTU SENYA, CENTRAL REGION: DR. BAWUMIA ATTENDS AWUBIA FESTIVAL, COMMISSIONS POLICE HQ & APPEALS TO ELECTORATE

Vice President Bawumia has clarified the origins and funding of the Kasoa-Winneba Road project, emphasizing that it is fully funded by the Government of Ghana and is not an ECOWAS project as claimed by the NDC MP for the area, Gizelle Tetteh.
The Vice President set the records straight at the Awubia Festival during his tour of the Awutu Senya East and West Constituencies in the Central Region as part of his nationwide constituency-focused campaign tour.
The Vice President’s response is to a series of claims made by Gisella Abgotui-Tetteh, who had consistently told her constituents and the public that the Kasoa-Winneba Road was being funded and executed by the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
Addressing a durbar of chiefs and the people, Dr. Bawumia said these claims were not only false but also misleading, designed to undermine the efforts of the current government in addressing critical infrastructure needs across the country.

The NPP flagbearer also visited the Kasoa regent’s palace and presented a compelling case for his presidential candidacy, asserting that his extensive record as Vice President uniquely qualifies him for the top position.
During a recent stakeholder engagement at the Odekro’s Palace, Dr. Bawumia highlighted his achievements and criticized his predecessor’s performance.

The markets and streets became a beehive of activity as Dr. Bawumia proceeded to engage in a person-to-person campaign when he embarked on a meet and greet session of the campaign.
It was all excitement as the market traders, artisans and electorate hailed the NPP presidential candidate during his interactions with them.

Speaking at a Constituency Connect Forum later, Dr. Bawumia appealed to the electorate to vote for the NPP and himself in the upcoming elections to implement his policies and vision to develop Ghana.

The Vice President also commissioned the Central East Police Headquarters at Kasoa to serve the policing needs of the area and beyond. Here are excerpts from the ceremony.
