VEEP IN SAVANAH REGION: DR BAWUMIA INTERACTS WITH CLERGY & CLERICS, CALLS ON YAGBONWURA

Vice President and presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has stated that his vision is to create a country that will depict “a tent big enough” to include everyone in the country’s transformation.
Addressing members of the clergy in the Savannah Region on Wednesday, as part of his campaign tour of the region, Dr. Bawumia reiterated his commitment to transforming Ghana with the support and mandate of the people of Ghana.
The NPP leader further called on the clergy in the Savannah Region to support him and pray for him as he travelled across the country in search of the people’s mandate.

At Damango, the overlord of Gonjaland and President of the Savannah Regional House of Chiefs, Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Jewu Soale I, gave his blessings to the flagbearer of the NPP, when he paid a courtesy call on the Yagbonwura and the Savannah Regional House of Chiefs as part of the Vice President’s campaign tour of the region.
Last November, the Yagbonwura conferred upon Dr. Bawumia the chieftaincy title of Konukolewura, meaning Chief of Unity, in acknowledgement of the Vice President’s efforts in promoting inclusivity within the region.
He said Dr. Bawumia is a true son of Gonjaland and has the blessings of the Chiefs and people of the Kingdom to lead the nation.

The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), also stepped up his community engagements as he engaged with people at the Yapei toll booth, Fufulsuo Market and lorry station, as well as community members in Busunu.

The Savannah Region is the eighth of Dr. Bawumia’s national engagements. He has already toured the Eastern, Western, Western North, Ahafo, Bono, Bono East, and North East Regions, since he started his regional community engagements, where he has had engagements on the streets, in the markets, shops, and house-to-house interactions.
