VEEP WRAPS UP NORTHERN GHANA TOURS: BONGO, NAVRONGO, & CHIANA EMBRACE DR. BAWUMIA AS HIS CAMPAIGN GATHER MOMENTUM

Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has wrapped up his tour of the Upper East Region with a call on the electorate to vote for him and the NPP, as it has performed better and undertaken massive developments in the five northern regions as compared to the opposition, the National Democratic Congress, and its leader, John Mahama.
The flagbearer of the NPP made this appeal during his interactions with the traditional leaders, community leaders, and the electorate at Bongo, Navrongo, and Chiana, among other constituencies in the region.
The Vice President’s campaign momentum in the northern part of Ghana has been on the rise following highly successful engagements in the Upper East Region in the past few days as he embarks on his nationwide constituency-focused campaign.
In the past few weeks, Dr. Bawumia has pitched camp in the North, engaging with diverse stakeholders, including traditional leaders, religious leaders, and youth in the North East, Northern, Savannah, and Upper West Regions, with huge crowds welcoming him.
On the last lap of his northern tour in the Upper East Region, which began last Friday, Dr. Bawumia was given a warm reception from mammoth crowds in Bawku, Garu Tempane, Pusiga, Talensi, Nabdam, Chiana Paga, Bolga, and Navrongo.
In each of these communities, the electorate, especially the youth, has shown massive love and support for the vice president and NPP presidential candidate, in some instances defying rain to stay with him.
At Bongo, Dr. Bawumia paid a courtesy call to the chief at his palace and engaged him and his elders on the vision he has should he become president.

The presidential candidate of the NPP then took his message to the streets and markets, where he interacted with the electorate.

Dr. Bawumia later held a community connection engagement with the youth and listed several projects the government has undertaken in the area since 2017 to demonstrate how the NPP has kept faith with the people.
He also laid bare the details of his vision for them and the need to build on the foundation of the Akufo-Addo government while reminding them of the bad governance and leadership offered by John Mahama.

At Navrongo, Dr. Bawumia was also warmly welcomed by the Navropio, Pe Dennis Aneakwoa Belinia Adda Asagpaare II, and his elders, where he interacted with them on his mission.

The presidential candidate concluded his tour with a community connect meeting where his entourage further highlighted the NDC and their flagbearer, John Mahama’s, neglect of the North in terms of development and trumpeted the monumental achievements of the NPP.
The vice president urged them to choose the NPP and its parliamentary candidate, for continuous improvements in their lives.
