Member of Parliament(MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong has disclosed that father of the National Democratic Congress'(NDC’s) Communications Officer, Sammy Gyamfi wants him to mentor his son in politics.
The lawmaker made this claim when he was on the Seat show on Accra-based Net2TV on August 12.
The maverick politician said mentoring Sammy Gyamfi will not be a herculean task although they don’t belong to the same political party touting his relationship with some politicians in the NDC including the Ranking Member of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Communications, Alhaji A.B.A Fuseini, the Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, Mr Sam George and the Member of Parliament (MP) for Asutifi South, Alhaji Collins Dauda.
The businessman said in the thirty- minutes chat he had with Sammy Gyamfi’s father, he told them, man, to advise his son to be cautious of some of his utterances especially with regards to the Military adding that he should look at what happened to Koku Anyidoho and Allotey Jacobs who have been phased out of the political scene.
Kennedy Agyapong said father of Sammy Gyamfi apologised on behalf of his son and Kennedy Agyapong also forgave him.
“Sammy Gyamfi’s father is an open-minded person. He called me and spoke to me about his son. He said he has followed my submissions and like me. He said he heard me commending his son and that now that I spoke against him, he called to apologise not because I’m a tin god. I told him to advise his son so he looks at how Koku Anyidoho and Allotey Jacobs have been phased out of the political scene.
“He said although we are at different places he will want me to mentor him. That is where I told him about my relationship with some politicians from the NDC. I also told him if he is ready.”
