Black Stars captain, Andre Dede Ayew is confident Ghana will be ready in time for their World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia and South Africa.
As part of preparations towards the qualifiers, the team played two friendly games against Morocco and Cote D’Ivoire, where they failed to score a single goal or win any of the games.
The Black Stars lost 1-0 to Morocco in Rabat on 12th June, before being held to a goalless draw by Cote D’Ivoire at the Cape Coast Stadium last week Saturday.
Despite the not so impressive results, Ayew insists the team is not worried heading into the World Cup qualifiers.
“We know what is ahead of us, some of us have played a lot of these qualification games and so we know what is ahead of us.” He said.
“We are not worried, we will be ready. The coach has done a fantastic job.
“You can see the progress the team has made, all we need to focus on now is scoring more goals.”
Dede Ayew will be looking to lead the Black Stars to qualify for the World Cup after they failed to feature in the 2018 edition.
Ghana will take on Ethiopia and South Africa in September.
