West Ham United’s pursuit of Ajax midfielder Mohammed Kudus has hit another roadblock as their second bid has been turned down by the Dutch club.
The rejected offer for Kudus is reportedly valued at €42 million (£35.4 million). Despite the setbacks, West Ham are considering the possibility of making an improved bid in the near future.
The 23-year-old Ghana international is interested in the move to London Stadium. However, Ajax are adamant about retaining the player and has rejected both of West Ham’s bids thus far.
Kudus has showcased his incredible form on the field by contributing effectively to Ajax’s Eredivisie campaign this season. He found the back of the net in the opening game and provided an assist in the following match.
Kudus is entering the final two years of his contract with Ajax. In the previous season, Kudus impressed with his performances, scoring a total of 17 goals in all competitions for the Dutch club.
