Thomas Partey eventually returned to competitive football after suffering through yet another extended stretch of time away from the game due to injuries.
The Ghanaian midfielder entered the game as a substitute for Arsenal during Monday night’s 6-0 English Premier League victory over Sheffield United.
Arsenal has now won six straight league games, with the London team scoring four goals or more in each of their previous four contests.
As manager Mikel Arteta had anticipated before the game, Arsenal led 6-0 when Partey joined the field in the 64th minute, replacing Jorginho. Partey made his sixth league appearance of the 2023–2024 season with this.
Partey demonstrated his abilities in his 25-minute comeback, finishing 30 of 34 passes and recording 36 yards.
