You have no right to engage in retailing- Titus Glover to foreigners

The Deputy Minister for Transport and Member of the Trade and Industry Committee of Parliament, says under no circumstance will a foreigner be permitted to do retailing business in the country.

According to him retailing businesses are enshrined in the Ghana Investment Promotion Center Act 865, 2013 which refrain foreigners.

He said if the law is not enforced, retailing which is solely for Ghanaians will be taken away from them.

However, the matter must be handled with care that will not bring issues between our neighborhing Countries

The Deputy Minister for Transport, Titus Glover indicated that any foreigner who want to engage in any business must have a joint venture with a Ghanaian.

Titus Glover spoke to Oman Fm Parliamentary correspondent Nana Ampofo Ayeh in Parliament.

Meanwhile, the Second Deputy Majority Whip and Kpandai, Matthew Nyindam also said Ghanaians must not also take the law into their hands because there are Ghanaians who are also working in Nigeria.
