The Paramount Chief of Abola Traditional Council in Accra, Nii Ahene Nunoo the third, has advised the youth to avoid all forms of violence and needless provocations as the general elections approach.
According to him, Ghana can have a peaceful election on December 7th if the youth of the country stayed calm and focused, adding that Ghana is the only country we have.
Nii Ahene Nunoo the third, who is also the Ga State Atofotse (Advisor) gave this advice at the Celebration of the Homowo Festival at Ga-Mashie in Accra.
The Homowo festival is celebrated by Ga People in remembrance of famine that once happened in their history in precolonial Ghana.
Homowo means hooting at and ridiculing hunger. It is an annual festival for the people of the Ga State to commemorate the day their ancestors won victory over hunger, hooted at it and ridiculed it with songs and dancing.
Before the celebration could commence yesterday, the King of the Ga State, Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru the second, paid a courtesy call on Abola Mantse, Nii Ahene Nunoo the third, as custom demands it, to perform some rituals so that the sprinkling of Kpekple or Kpokpoi on the streets of Ga Mashie could start.
The Paramount Chief of Abola Traditional Council, Nii Ahene Nunoo the third further urged all Ga-Dangbe people to stay focused and united because their progress is tied to the success of Ghana.
