NAP Radio 90.1 FM Launched In Assin Fosu In The Central Region

Assin Fosu was on Sunday a beehive of political activity when the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Hon Kennedy Agyapong, and the constituency executives organized a durbar of chiefs and people of the Assin Fosu and a massive health walk in the constituency.

The walk which was organized to galvanize the support base of the party also served as a rallying point for the massive show of support from sympathizers of the ruling New Patriotic Party.

The walk which was led by the 5 time MP for the constituency saw in attendance the rank and file of party supporters in Assin Central and its environs.

The teeming crowd then converged at the Assin Fosu lorry station, where chiefs, elders and community leaders were joined by the vice president Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the Central Regional minister Kwamena Duncan, minister for Transport, Kwaku Asiamah, Municipal and District Chief Executives, and regional and local party executives.

The Vice President in his address to the people urged them to trust the Akufo-Addo led govt after the numerous policy interventions it had introduced, which are benefitting most Ghanaians and reject the Mahama and the NDC in their attempt to win back political power.

For his part, Hon Kennedy Agyapong stressed home the need to retain the Akufo-Addo govt for the admirable handling of the economy and appealed to the people not to be deceived and rather do well to give the president and the NPP, another term to do more.

Kwamina Duncan, the Regional Minister and Transport Minister Kwaku Ofori Asiamah also took turns to speak to the crowd at the durbar grounds.

In a later development, the Vice president alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia commissioned a new radio station at Assin Fosu as part of his working visit in the Central Region over the weekend.
